Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

 

Arrival

We are asking parents to abide by a morning drop-off time of 7:45 am at the front of the school.  ONLY students who are having breakfast will be allowed to enter the cafeteria at 7:40 am. Once they enter through the main gates, all students will be directed to the cafeteria for breakfast. Students who arrived at school walking wait under the elevated parking structure. At 7:55 all students are allowed to enter the school building and go directly to their classroom.  All students should be in class, ready to learn, by 8:10 am each day. 

TK and Kinder students can be dropped off on the North Side of the building by Del Sol Blvd entering the gate into the cafeteria. Parents will drop off at the gate entrance and staff will be present to direct students to their TK/K classrooms.

Dismissal

TK and Kinder students shall be picked on the North Side of the building by Del Sol Blvd entering the gate into the cafeteria.  Parents will line up by side gate of the cafeteria entrance and staff will call names of students and deliver them to parents from the play structure area.

1st-6th grade students will be picked up at the loading zone on the southeast side of the building. Students will wait in the MPR for their names to be called and then staff will place students in the cars. Cars will exit by right turn only onto Del Sol Blvd.

Parents must have the pink H2 placard (4 will be given to you and will not be replaced) to pick up their child. It should be located on the dashboard of the car so that we can dismiss students with ease. 

Additionally, students will also be picked up on the west side of the school in the main office entrance. Parents must have the pink H2 placard (4 will be given to you and will not be replaced) to pick up their child. Staff will release students to parents by name in the order in which parents arrived.

All of us at H2 are committed to providing a safe environment for our students and would appreciate your understanding and cooperation in abiding to our traffic regulations.

    1. Obey all traffic personnel.
    2. NO handheld devices while driving.
    3. ONLY Hawking appointed pickup cards will be valid. For the safety of the students no hand printed cards will be accepted
    4. Parents without a pick-up card will be asked to park and show identification at the front desk.
    5. You MUST stay in your car when waiting in the drop-off and pick-up lines.

REMINDER: As adults, we should model appropriate behavior for our children.
